Operating out of the historic mountain town of Julian, California, Dave merges traditional timber craftsmanship with fine lapidary gemstone cutting under the moniker The Broken Carpenter.

Inspired by Julian's legendary apple orchards and rich geological heritage, every Forever Apple display is designed and built by hand. From slabbing raw mineral stones to precision-milling mahogany shadow-box frames, Dave spends dozens of hours patiently shaping, polishing, and joining each piece into a lasting heirloom.

Every apple slice is individually slabbed, contoured, bevel-ground, and hand-polished through multi-stage diamond laps before receiving a custom-twisted stem accent.
